Oops.... I've been shopping!

So today I though I could show you what I got in the past few months. Some I got two months go, some two weeks ago and some two days ago, so let me show you!

(I decided to include the sample I received in t
his month's Elle magazine of Benefit's They're Real! mascara)
Now, I know that I don't really need any if these products but their appearance in my make-up stash
makes me just that little but happier. :-) I also want to apologise for the state of these products since I have already checked them out and my nails did some damage, so yeah!

Lips:
Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya- this shade is just a peachy orange creamy shade that is currently limited edition and thought would look nice at the beach.
Maybelline The Vivids in Shocking Coral- It's in the name-shocking coral. This is a really bright matte colour that will definitely look good with a tan.
Maybelline Superstay 14h Lipsticks in Infinetly Fuchsia and Ultimate Blush- bright fuschia shade and coral shade with shimmer. So pretty!
Kiko Smart Lipstick In 905 -This really wearable coral colour than is also great as blush is so versatile and handy.
Kiko Smart Lip Pencil in shade 702-This pencil is the matching colour of the lipstick so I thought If I needed it to be more intense or if I was going out and wanted it to last I would put this under.
Mac Snob- Satin lipstick that is described as a light neutral pink, slightly on the mauve side and I thought this be a nice go-to lipstick and doffers from the usual brown nude.
(Clockwise from left to right: Infinitely Fuchsia, Ultimate Blush, Shocking Coral, Kiko, Juicy Papaya, Snob, and Kiko Smart Lip Pencil in 702)
Eyes:
Maybelline Colour Tatto in shades: Permanent Taupe, Metallic Pomegranate, Pink Gold, Light in Purple, Immortal Charcoal and Everlasting Navy. I LOVE these and so I went a bit crazy the other day and bought six. Yeah....I have already worn so many combinations and they are gorgeous.

Everlasting NavyMetallic Pomegranate

Light in Purple
Pink Gold
Immortal Charcoal
Permanent Taupe
(From Left to Right- Permanent Taupe, Immortal Charcoal, Pink Gold, Light in Purple, Ever-lasting Navy and Metallic Pomegranate.)
Mac Mineralize Duo Eyeshadow in Love Connection- The description of this is a pale beige with gold and blue veining with a warm gold mono and this is gorgeous really.
Maybelline The Rocket Mascara- This was on offer so I picked up and I like the way it separates my lashes and it's really black but it's not that special, it does clump which is sad as it's meant to be too fast to clump.

Face:
Sleek Bronzer Duo- It was the last one there, it was in my colour, it belonged to me. This bronzer comes with a nice pink-y highlighter and I though this would look nice at the beach.

Sleek Blush in Pixie Pink: This baby pink is to die for! Just the name pixie pink makes me want to slap this on my cheek to accompany my pixie haircut. So cute!
Sleek Blush in Rose Gold: Peachy rose colour that adds a flush to the cheek with gold shimmer that is dewy and really pretty!
                                                 Left-Pixie Pink,  Right-Rose Gold
Nails:
Kiko Nail Polish in 357 (Bright Orange), 298 (Turquoise Micro-Glitter) and 372 (Nude). The names are kinda self-explanatory and they are all colourst that would look good with a tan!
Barry M Gelly Nails in Lychee- gorgeous hi-shine nude that is very in this season and I think would look nice on anyone.

Bath:
Lush Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleron- I've used this before and it is FREAKIN' AMAZING. It smells of cocoa butter and you simply crumble it in the bath so that it makes a lot of bubbles (BUBBLES!!) and the essential oils within it leave your skin super moisturised and it is definitely one of my fave Lush products and I shall buy it again and again.

What have you bought recently?

Make-up Review: Mac Pink Pearl Pop Lipstick

Hi guys!
Recently I have really been into a bright lip and this lipstick has been a staple in my make-up looks!

I've had this lipstick for a while now and I just adore it. The colour just reminds me of spring and summer. The first thing you ought to now is that this lipstick is a Cremesheen which is it's finish, not it's name! This means that it is a pretty pigmented colour that is shiny and creamy and not as bold as other Mac lipsticks. I think this is ore for people who don't want to dare too much with lipstick and like to keep it minimal yet bright.

The colour is a gorgeous bold light pink. Mac describes it as a frosted mid-tonal pink which I guess is pretty accurate. It definitely has some shimmer in there but luckily I find that it doesn't appear too much on the lips. I HATE glittery lips.  This shimmer just adds a bit light. As it is a mid-tonal pink it doesn't obviously appear too light on fair skin. Personally I don't think fair girls like me should wear light lipsticks or light nudes. Do you want to look like a zombie?

I have to admit it doesn't last very long because of it's creamy-ness but it will definitely last you a few hours. The pigmentation is really good for a creamy colour and definitely shows up. I hate it when you buy lipsticks with a creamy finish and it just looks like you have shiny lips.

So, what lipsticks have you been sporting recently?

NOTD: Berry Nails!

Hi guys!

These days I have been wearing agorgeous light lilac purple pastel colour from Barry M called berry and I couldn't be loving it more.

This colour is getting me into spring even though the weather is still not quite....spring-y. I decided to go for a light colour because after wearing a lot of dark colours and nudes on my nails I needed a light colour to re-introduce me to colourful nails and bright nails. This was a good transition colour- let's say.

Over-all, I think this nail polish is really good quality and with one coat of polish it already was quite opaque. I have to coats and it lasted me quite a while before fading and chipping without a top coat: 2 days. With a top coat it would have been probably 3-4 days. The brush is a good medium size and the nail polish is really glossy.

Really good polish, amazing colour and really cheap as well at only the price of £2.99.
What colour are you wearing?

Face-Mask Review- Lush Cosmetic Warrior Face Mask

Hi guys!
Sorry I haven't been blogging in a while. Today I wanted to talk about Lush's Cosmetic Warrior Face Mask because I picked it up in Lush the other day and I wanted to share the amazing-ness of this mask.

This mask is for people with troublesome skin. By that I mean acne-prone skin, spots and redness. This mask contains garlic, tea tree essential oil , kaolin and honey. Garlic and tea tree are antiseptic, meaning that not only they will feel fresh but they also prevent the growth of bacteria on the skin. This cleans the spots and prevents break-outs. Kaolin is deep cleansing and will purify the skin. Honey is an anti-bacterial ingredient and will get rid of bacteria on the face and it will also moisturise. It also contains other ingredients like fresh white grapes that help clan and cool the skin and fresh eggs that help tighten the texture of the skin.

All you do is apply a generous amount onto the face, rub it in and leave it for 5-10 minutes. I tend to leave it until it feels dry. You can also just apply it on the areas where you have a spot or use a thin layer as spot treatment for the night.

What do I think? I think this face mask is fantastic for combating spots and redness and I used it yesterday and today my skin was amazing and the redness on my skin was completely gone and I didn't need to cover up my skin that much. The only problem with this face mask is that it smells very strongly of garlic and that can put you off from using it but personally it does so much good to my skin I can easily over-look this. It feels really fresh on the skin as it has to be kept in the fridge and I tend to use it daily whenever I buy it because it does have a use by date as it is packed with natural ingredients.

So, if you have spots or trouble-some skin I would definitely recommend this face mask as it does miracles. The ingredients are all natural and it isn't harsh on the skin and it doesn't make it puffy.

Have you tried Lush face masks?

Make-up Review: Mac Lady Bug Lipstick

Hi guys!
Valentine's day is soon approaching and whether you are doing something or not, this lipstick is the perfect romantic shade. Whatever the occasion.
So I am gonna start this post by saying and explaining these types of lipsticks by Mac because people tend to get very confused. Mac has different types of finishes that are:

  • Matte
  • Satin
  • Amplified Creme
  • Amplified
  • Frost
  • Cremesheen
  • Lustre
  • Glaze
  • Satin
!!!These are not the names of the lipsticks!! The name of the lipstick is under that. The finish describes the way it looks on the lips. Lady Bug from Mac is a Lustre meaning it is sheerer than other lipsticks but still quite pigmented. It gives a more wet, glossy look on the lips and doesn't last that well depending if you obviously put a lip pencil or something else to seal the lip.

The actual colour itself is a slightly wine-y red. Mac describes it as a 'yellow tomato' colour which I kind of agree as it has got warmer yellow undertones to it but I definitely think it is slightly darker than that. I love this lipstick as it is a really wearable red lipstick that isn't too in your face in a way. It is quite muted for a red shade as of course it is slightly sheerer.
I do not own that many Mac lipsticks so far but from what I own I can say that they have a really nice range and that they definitely deserve a look at as there is a shade for everyone. They cost £14 each which is kinda pricey for young girls like me but, hey! What can you do.

In the bullet the colour may seem quite strong but when blended into the lips it gives of this gorgeous flushed lips colour and makes teeth look really white. The only problem with Lustre's are that they can smudge as they give a glossy finish which smudges easily.

I decided to review this lipstick as I feel it is the perfect lipstick that I own for Valentine's day as it is soft and cute, and definitely catches the eye. Pairing this with a smokey eye would be great for a glamourous night out or just pairing it with a simple winged eyeliner makes it even softer and great for daytime or who knows, a date!
Swatch of the lipstick on my arm. I did have a picture of it on my lips but it was really unfocused and my camera was being grumpy so, sorry!

I hope you guys have a great Valentine's day and that it will be filled with love and amazing make-up choices!
What is you favourite Mac Lipstick finish?
Will you be rocking a red lip on Valentines day?

DIY Face Mask- Anti-blemish Honey and Cinnamon

Hi guys!
So today instead if doing your usual reviews of products that do all kinds of amazing things, i'm going to show you how to do an at home face masks that consist of anti-blemish properties, using just the ingredients you can find in your kitchen.

The three ingredients are......honey, cinnamon and flour!
So what is so special about honey?
Honey is great for adding moisture to the skin and can make a big difference for those with dry skin. Honey also contains contains natural anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that help heal the skin and when mixed with cinnamon it makes a great anti-septic mask.

(I'm just using this Italian honey I found at home, but any honey can do! Especially Manuka honey, which is a tad more expensive)
The cinnamon is great anti-blemish ingredient as it contains natural ant-inflammatory properties. Also, cinnamon contains anti-microbial properties that stop the growth of bacteria on the skin, which is what causes spot.
(Good ol' Sainsbury's Cinnamon!)
The flour is mainly to just make the mask stick to your face!

(remember to use plain flour and not self-raising. That may cause problems.....)

What you will need:
1 1/2teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoons of cinnamon
2 1/2 teaspoons of flour
NOTE! this may stain clothing because of the cinnamon so be careful when applying.
Method:
Pour your flour and cinnamon in a bowl and stir until they are incorporated. Then add honey and mix with a spoon, a brush, chopsticks or just anything you want. Even your fingers! If you feel the formula is a bit too dry, add honey. If too wet add flour. Easy! So once you feel you have reached a creamy consistency that will stick to the face (a bit wetter than Nutella, let's say) cleanse and exfoliate the face and add a thin layer of your mask. Less is more. Wait 5-10 minutes before washing and then apply your usual moisturiser. You can tone before the moisturiser depending on what your skin is like. Technically you should only be using toner if you have oily skin but it is perfectly fine to use on dry, normal or combination skin as well.

I have found that this mask is really nice and smells AMAZING. I literally wanted to eat this but I saved it for my skin. I recommend you do not use too much cinnamon as it then turns the mask into a scrub.

Do you make your own face masks?

Make-up review: Burberry Eye Definer in Golden Brown

Hello everybody!
I am so sorry I haven't blogged in a while I have been very busy with school work but today I finished early and used it as an excuse to blog so here it is!

Recently I bought some stuff from Burberry including this eyeliner and I wanted to blog about THIS product straight away as it is gorgeous! The colour is.......golden brown (no way!) and I first saw this in a video that Burberry had made using two models, one of them being Cara Delavigne, and they used this colour on her lower lash line and I knew that I needed it in my collection as it is absolutely beautiful. It is great for a natural smokey, to give definition and it is super pigmented.

The lasting power is quite good as obviously it is a pencil and not a liquid liner. There are so many ways of using this eyeliner, simple line, cat-eye, water line, lash lines etc. It is a brown chestnut colour with gold fleck in it. The packaging is also amazing and it is luxurious as most Burberry products. The eye-liner itself is also super long and has around 20% more liner than usual eye-liners!

What eyeliners are you sporting these days?
